Gilfy Sport

Gylfi Sport was born in 1982 in Corigliano Calabro, a sportswear and footwear shop founded by Salvatore Fino that became the town's go to place to dress everyone head to toe, from Nike to Adidas, Puma to Champion. Over four decades later, it is still in the same spot, on Via San Giovanni Evangelista, doing what it always did: selling branded boots and trainers to the people of Corigliano. But Gylfi has a second, quieter life, the one that matters to this collection. Alongside reselling the big international brands, it produces and supplies custom kits to amateur clubs in the region, among them Sporting Club Corigliano, chaired by Massimo Fino, a surname the shop shares with the man who runs the club. It is the perfect portrait of a small Calabrian town's economy: the family shop dresses the family team, and the business of selling trainers at the counter also pays its way by making shirts next door.
