About the brand

Urbani is what happens when a cyclist hangs up the bike but cannot let go of sport. Vittorio Urbani raced among cycling's professionals and, in 1977, put his road experience to work in a textile workshop in Terni, Urbani Sportwear, starting with cycling clothing, where he knew exactly what a body needs, and later expanding to volleyball and football. Nearly half a century on, it remains what it always was: a city knitwear house on Via Maestri del Lavoro, a street whose name, masters of labour, seems chosen on purpose, where the shirts are made in house and sold to the sporting community of Terni and its surroundings. It never dressed world champions and never wanted to; it dressed generations of Umbrian clubs, from amateur cycling to the Eccellenza, with its tiny signature beneath the big numbers. In this collection it represents the most precious category of brands: the ones that make football happen ten minutes from home.
