About the club
On the shores of Lake Lugano, right beside the big city, the municipality of Paradiso has had, since 1 September 1917, the club with the most blessed name in European football. For a century, FC Paradiso lived the quiet life of Ticino's regional leagues, until the recent ambition of the project led by Antonio Caggiano took it to the Promotion League, the Swiss third tier, with its best ever finish in 2023/24, a third place brushing against promotion. The next move made headlines: signing Ezequiel Schelotto, formerly of Inter, Sporting and Brighton, first as captain and then as player vice-president, a unique case in Swiss football. All of this at a thousand seat ground, the Pian Scairolo, with the green lions of the municipal coat of arms roaring across the shirt. Small on the map, ambitious like few others: Paradiso wants to live up to its name.
