Macao, a former Portuguese territory on the southern coast of China, shares more with Lisbon than a language — it shares colours too. Sporting Clube de Macau was founded in the image of Sporting CP, adopting the green-and-white stripes as a mark of identity and a link to a clubbing tradition that crossed oceans.
