The story

Of all the Kleeblatt shirts, this is the one where history was made. In 2011/12, Mike Büskens’ Fürth won the 2. Bundesliga and secured the club’s first ever promotion to the Bundesliga, 109 years after its founding and three German championships later, ending its status as the second tier’s eternal resident, where it had lived since 1997. That same season the team also reached the German Cup semi finals, eliminated only by Dortmund in extra time. Jako drew broad hoops with the lone shamrock on the chest, 1903 embroidered at the collar and the club’s name in elegant script across the back, with ERGO Direkt, the neighbouring insurer that succeeded KarstadtQuelle, as sponsor. Even Henry Kissinger returned to the Ronhof to watch his Fürth in the elite. The shirt from the year the shamrock finally bloomed.
