The story
The shirt of back-to-back champions chasing Europe. Sporting entered 2025/26 with the Portuguese shield sewn beside the lion, the symbol only the reigning champion may wear in Portugal, earned with the 2024/25 back-to-back title, and this version carries the Champions League patches of a campaign to treasure: the Lions' best European season in decades, ended only at the quarter-final stage, with Luis Suárez in demolition mode, 38 goals in all and the league's top scorer award. At home the ending was more bitter, the title slipping to Porto and the Cup final lost, but Nike's hoops, with Betano on the chest and Super Bock on the back, remain the record of a Sporting that commanded European respect once more. The shield is not earned every year; wearing it in the Champions League, rarer still.
