About the club

At the foot of Mount Pilatus, in Lucerne's working class outskirts, SC Kriens has played since 1944 in the shadow of its big neighbour, FC Luzern, and turned that condition into an identity. Green and white from the start, at home in the cosy Kleinfeld, the club has spent decades shuttling between Switzerland's second and third tiers, with memorable Challenge League spells, like the cycle begun in 2018 after winning the Promotion League, and stubborn returns whenever it goes down. It is central Switzerland's developer club par excellence, fed by generations of local talent and of the Balkan diaspora that shapes the country's football, and proud to be the neighbourhood alternative in a game increasingly concentrated in the giants. At the Kleinfeld nobody sells Champions League dreams: they sell community football, and for over eighty years nobody has asked for anything else.
