Few shirts can claim to have built a stadium; this one can. When SC Kriens erected the new Kleinfeld, opened in 2018, the funding for its interior came from the fans themselves, in one of the biggest crowdfunding campaigns in Swiss sport: 1,944 shirts like this one, a number evoking the club's founding year, sold at 100 francs each, with entry to the opening match included. The target was 194,400 francs and 282 thousand came in, spent on the dressing rooms, the restaurant and the stadium's little pub, without a franc on luxuries, as the president promised. On opening day, the stands were a sea of these hoops with Stadionbauer in gold across the chest, each worn by someone who had paid for a piece of the new home. On the era's Joma template, without sponsors or numbers, it is neighbourhood football democracy made textile: here, whoever wears the shirt literally owns part of the club.
