This shirt is a declaration of island identity. The green and white hoops come in a distressed print, scratched and washed as if carrying a hundred years of Atlantic weather, the goshawk spreads its wings above the crest, and on the back, where a sponsor usually sits, there is a single word: Açores, with a hydrangea for an O, the flower that lines the roads of the nine islands. The sleeves carry the Municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, a World Heritage city, and the 10 completes the set. The work is by Dhika, the Guimarães brand that dresses Portugal's national basketball team, a natural choice for a club where the ball to the basket matters as much as the one to the net. It is the 2025/26 shirt, a season of Campeonato de Portugal in football and Proliga in basketball, and above all a geographical reminder: this collection had already crossed Europe and Asia, and now drops anchor in the middle of the Atlantic, on the island where a club named after an aeroplane has been flying since 1922.
