U.S. Sassuolo 2019/20 Away Shirt

Some shirts enter this collection through the front door and others by unexpected crossing, like this one: Sassuolo are black and green, but in 2019/20 Kappa designed them an away shirt of green and white hoops that any Celtic or Sporting fan would swear was their own. Kappa's omini run down the shoulders in banded file, in the style of the great Italian shirts, Mapei crosses the chest in the capital letters of one who is owner and sponsor at once, and the neroverde crest clashes deliciously against hoops that are not its own. It was worn in a season both sad and great: that of the farewells to Squinzi and Spazzoli, of Serie A suspended by the pandemic, of De Zerbi's Sassuolo finishing 8th with 21 goals from Caputo, playing the short passing football that made the club Europe's tactical darling.
