Lig, played largely in empty stadiums because of the pandemic, with the Teksas silenced and the financial crisis tightening its grip. Promotion slipped away again and the club was sliding towards the drop to the third tier that would come in 2022, at the start of a fall that would only end in the fourth division. Seen today, with Bursaspor climbing again after back to back titles and a national record, this Kappa is the record of the valley floor: proof that the hoops never went unworn, even when there was little to celebrate.
