Bursaspor 2009/10 Home Shirt

This is the shirt of the miracle. On 16 May 2010, Ertuğrul Sağlam's Bursaspor hosted Beşiktaş needing a win and a favour from Trabzon. They won 2-1, Fenerbahçe drew at home to Trabzonspor, and Bursa erupted: Süper Lig champions by a single point, with 75, only the second title ever for a club from outside Istanbul, 26 years after Trabzonspor's last. In Istanbul, furious Fener fans invaded the pitch; in Bursa, the whole city wore these stripes. A team without stars, built on a modest budget and Anatolian soul, had broken the most closed monopoly in Europe. This is the shirt the Green Crocodiles wore when the impossible happened. No hoops carry more weight in Turkey.
