Jerumelo turned 65 and dressed in brocade. For 2025/26, the season of the round anniversary completed in April 2026, Baller designed a commemorative shirt where the usual hoops live alongside damask-patterned sleeves, green acanthus leaves on green, as if the shirt had been lined with the good cloth kept for village feast days. The references to the date are exactly where they should be: at the nape, the crest's crown above 1961, and on the back, beneath the 10, the ornamental 65 Anos CFJ seal woven in foliage. Lactifeita crosses the chest in green script, the master cheesemakers loyal to their post, and the hem label says the rest: official product, made in Portugal, made for ballers. From the Guro of 2023/24 to the Baller of 2025/26, the village changed tailor but not ambition: making every season a reason to wear the crowned cross. Sixty five years on, Jerumelo still plays at home, now with ceremonial sleeves.
