The story
Hoops in aerosol: Puma bid farewell to Santos with this design of blurred stripes, as if the green had been sprayed over the white and left to drip. At the collar sits the detail that gives the piece its soul, the golden inscription 1996, marking twenty years since the club's first title, the Invierno 1996 that turned a young desert project into champions of Mexico. The crest carries the five stars of the time, awaiting the sixth that would arrive in 2018, surrounded by the usual Laguna cast, LALA, Soriana, Peñoles and Coca-Cola, with Corona and Banamex on the back and Bridgestone on the sleeve. A shirt of transition, between the nostalgia of the first trophy and the Charly era that would follow. The hoops were never so out of focus, nor so full of memory.
